Literary Club aims to encourage and promote all literary related domains such as reading, writing, debating, communicating, poem reciting, impromptu speaking, storytelling, creative writing etc. among students.  It is a club made for   people who love literature, and want to share their experiences, readings and thoughts with others who have the same interest and talent. Thus it offers opportunities to appreciate different types of literature and increase their own literary skills. Furthermore, the club develops logical thinking and curiosity. Thus the club encourages the students in attaining skill- set for their future endeavors.

The Literary Club of Dr. S.R.K. Govt. Arts College creates a platform for the students to contribute to the college magazine through short poems, essays, stories, popular adages, social maxims, proverbs, anecdotes etc. It also observes important days related to Literature like World Short Story Day, World Poetry Day, World Theatre Day etc.
